The Gary Gilot Civil Service Award is named in honor of CCI Internship co-founder Gary Gilot. Awardees exemplify Gary's principles of a heart for civil service, servant leadership mindset, and doing things "with" and not "to" or "for" the community. This years awardees are Nicole Lopez and Avery Broughton.
Nicole is a Sophomore at the University of Notre Dame studying Mechanical Engineering. She was part of the 2022 CCI Internship Program and served on the Renewable Energy team, determining sources of renewable energy for Bushelcraft Farm.
Avery Broughton is a Junior at the University of Notre Dame studying Sociology. She was part of the 2022 CCI Internship Program and served on the Lead Service Lines team to increase homeowner's awareness of the water safety in their homes.
