Heidi Beidinger-Burnett PhD, MPH is the Assistant Director of Community Health and Policy for the Center for Civic Innovation at the University of Notre Dame. She has a broad background in public health, policy, community-based research and leadership with a focus on lead poisoning prevention, HIV and infant mortality. Recently, she has been focused on the development of a Lead Sample Collection Kit, a device to screen residences for environmental lead. Dr. Beidinger co-founded the Lead Affinity Group (a local community coalition) and the Notre Dame Lead Innovation Team both of which are focused on lead poisoning prevention and action. She also serves as the Director of the Master of Science in Global Health program for the Eck Institute for Global Health. Dr. Beidinger’s passion and desire to improve the quality of life for our community is the driving force behind her work.
